Know the six truths of ancient tree tea, you will not be deceived!

1. Unreasonable age of ancient trees.

How old is the old tree? Some say 300 years, some say 200 years, some say 100 years, some say seventy or eighty years, this need not be too tangled. In short, it is not a platform cutting, and the density is not so great. If you do not need to fight medicine, you can pass it.

In fact, the age of ancient trees is actually difficult to measure accurately, and there is currently no good way. Scientifically speaking, it is not reliable to use C14 for anything, and there is no instrument that can achieve even a good result. Not only is it unpredictable to live, it is to cut the tree for several years, but it may also have a large deviation due to climate and soil.

The growth of tea trees is affected by factors such as the natural environment, soil fertility, and pruning degree. More importantly, tea trees are not necessarily older and the quality of tea is better. Relatively speaking, the tea produced by the old tea tree is more delicate, more peaceful, and more precious. However, tea trees of a century or so may also have a high aroma and distinctive taste, so it is still necessary to speak with tea quality.

2. More than one tea in a tea mountain.

This is the easiest way for beginners to enter. "Laobanzhang" and "New banzhang", "Iceland" and "Iceland" are very different. This is not just a question of tree age, it is more important that the tree species are different! Different varieties, can it taste the same? Tea saint Lu Yu once said that the Sunlight on the cliff and shades in the tea mountains, in different tea mountains, the location and orientation of high-quality tea gardens vary, some are sunny and good, some are good in the woodland.

Don't think that the same famous mountain is one quality and one price!

This is not a problem for most friends who buy the famous mountain ancient tree tea in the market, because the colder fact about ancient tree tea is that Banzhang Iceland bought in the retail market is basically not true.

3. Is Mingqian tea and spring tea equal to good tea?

Every year when the spring tea season comes, "Mingqian ancient tree tea" and "spring ancient tree tea" burst into the circle of friends, and the old tea people can only say "lol".

"Mingqian tea" is the seasonal concept of green tea in Jiangnan area, and has little relationship with ancient Pu-erh trees. The picking time of different tree species in different tea areas in Yunnan and even in the same tea area is different. In some places, only a small amount can be collected before tomorrow, some can only pick bud tips, and some are not mined at all. Most high-quality ancient tree tea is not Mingqian tea.

Compared to "Mingqian tea", "spring tea" is a little more reliable. From a large range, the tea picked in the front is better than the spring tail tea, but it is not better in front. Ancient tree tea has its own rules, and it is often the best quality of tea during the spring tea season. The front and back are relatively inferior. The doorway can be deeper here, which is related to the plant's own laws and moon phases. There is a chance to discuss the mysterious things.

4. The new tea cannot fully reflect the characteristics of tea mountain.

An embarrassing fact: Every year there are a large number of ancient tree teas, including expensive famous mountains, which are drunk and drunk without fully reflecting their value. The question of how long it takes to drink is related to the drinkable period. Tea with a short shelf life and tea with a long shelf life have their own advantages and can be consumed. But it will take at least a year or two of transformation before we can roughly see the pattern of an ancient tree tea.

How much is the difference between freshly made fresh tea and ancient tree tea stored for more than one year? This is not easy to quantify. On average, the similarity is no more than 30%. It ’s better to grab a new one every year, or to taste new tea, and it doesn’t make much sense, so we recommend drinking while hiding and feeling the charm of time.

Tasting the new tea is based on the familiarity with this tea. Only after the correspondence between the new tea and the old tea is established can the new tea be judged. Too much tea, new tea and old tea taste completely different, and the more you drink, the more elusive the regularity is. This is also the charm of saving tea!

5. The aged may not be more fragrant.

The storage of Pu-erh tea is a big issue. As long as it is good tea, if the storage environment is correct, short-term and long-term teas are very good, but the conversion of Pu-erh tea has its own rules, not only the more mature and more fragrant.

Under the premise of reasonable storage, the aroma of tea at different stages has different characteristics, which is not as simple as the proportional relationship with time. In general, the fragrance in the early stage is more clear, and the latter is more mellow. "The more aged, the more fragrant" may be more accurate.

6. Whether the ancient tree has nothing to do with the appearance.

There are often masters of different ways to judge whether a tea is an ancient tree tea based on the shape of dry tea or leaf bottom. The varieties of platform tea are simple; ancient tree varieties are rich and colorful: not only large-leaf species, but also middle-leaf species and small-leaf species; there are long, round, flat, willow-shaped, oval, heart-shaped; serrated Sharp, but also jagged and fuzzy; there are blades as thick as leather and thin as paper. These appearance differences are brought about by different varieties, and it does not matter whether it is ancient tree tea.

Was influenced by the tea mountains in the Yiwu and Menghai areas in the past, and people believed that Daye was authentic. Now this view has gradually been abandoned. The only thing that can judge whether it is an ancient tree by its appearance is that you know that the raw material comes from this mountain, and you are fully aware of the several varieties and characteristics of this mountain. This is not what the master can do. The tea farmers can be separated. Of course, the mountain farmers will not be able to experience their taste.
